Good idea to collaborate with West Blocton school. Nicely organized Good job.
Would you be having individual conferences or would this be a group project? Will there ever be a time the students could meet face to face with their partners at the other school.
You could make 3D models of their monster, using play doh, puppets, dolls, etc.
Comments: 1. Love the idea! Great way for students to use vivid adjectives 2. Great way to incorporate writing into the day, Love the power point idea! 3. Great plan for peer feedback Questions: 1. Have you taught children how to give feedback or will you need to do this with this lesson? 2. What is your timeline for the project? Suggestions: 1. Maybe you could rewrite your essential question
3 C'S: Great idea for younger kids! They are always ready to create, especially their own monster! It incorporates writing skills in a fun way! 2 Q's: Would more time be needed to teach prerequisite skills? Could gifted students help special needs students? 1 S: Use the book "Where The Wild Things Are" to introduce.
Very creative idea! I like the use of language arts in your project. This is very age appropriate, which is hard to do sometimes with the lower grades.
Would the students have assistance making their slides? How many lessons long is your timeline for this project?
The book "Go Away Big Green Monster" would be a good resource to use to extend thd project in a few different ways.

Very creative! The monster idea is so cute. I know your students will enjoy creating their monsters.
How long will your students continue to collaborate? Have you collaborated with other schools before?
You could have your students create a "family album" for the class using their monsters.
High interest with students!
Love the collaboration with the younger grades!
Good integration of various subject areas.
Could students use Paint program to create their monster?
Could students create a Photostory with a narration of thier monster?
You could use a webcast with the students at WBES to bring in even more tech :-)
Great job!
