classtools.net
pros: templates to create games/graphic organizers/more, no sign up, can post to your own website, easy to use (directions), samples (lesson plans)
cons: don't really see any
classpress.net
pros: daily news feeds relating to subject you teach in the form of HTML, Email, Twitter, RSS, or Widget
cons: don't really see any
I would recommend both. The first has games, graphic organizers, student selectors, timers (with cool background music), etc. The second is a great way to show students your subject is actually (gasp!) relevant.
linoit.com
pros: very "cute"-leave sticky notes on your computer as reminders or notes, free
cons: difficult to understand how to use it, have to set up an account
tikatok.com
pros: create a book online, scan and store child's illustrations, ability to publish hard copy of book, account set up is free
cons: purchased books are $20 or more, Tikatok owns the copyright to all printed materials on the site...so the child's name will not be printed as the author on the book.
www.swivel.com
pros: wealth of data/graphs/statistics on almost any topic; and can upload your own
cons: not sure how accurate data is if everyone can upload
www.searchcrystal.com
pros: lets you search & compare multiple engines in one place; displays in a "cystal-like" graphic organizer; search visualization tool; categorizes web, images, video, news, blogs, Wikis
cons: some info in repeated in multiple sites
